Is there a way to keep my the skin on my fingers from cracking open?

    Well if you have gloves, or just some spare time to waste, you could soak your hands in warm water to open the pores up and then put a lil dab of petroleum jelly on each hand and rub it into the skin. Let it sit on your hands for about 15 minutes then wash the excess off. You can also do it before you go to bed and leave the jelly on your hands all night, but I'd suggest to wear some gloves so it wont get all over your bed. Then after you wake up you can wash the excess off. The oils in petroleum jelly will help to protect the skin from drying and chaffing or cracking.
