Origin of the phrase - "pick up your mantle"

    It has to do with succeeding, or desiring to succeed, some notable person. Try II Kings 2 in the KJV translation of the Bible, where Elijah is carried to heaven an drops his mantle (cloak) for Elisha. I think verse 13 is where the phrase comes from.
