I just finished my first 12-day Master Cleanse. It was quite an experience. I was in a rut; depressed and prone to fatigue. I hoped the Master Cleanse might jolt me out of my rut. It did. I feel a lot better. I have more energy, a brighter outlook, and a feeling of accomplishment. I have a new attitude toward food. If I feel hungry for a snack or something to "munch" on, I just live with it. I don't respond to the impulse.

The concoction as prescribed in the manual is too sweet for me, so I used less lemon and less syrup. I didn't drink the cayenne pepper, which made the lemonade taste wretched. I swallowed the cayenne in capsule form. Otherwise, I followed the program to the letter. I lost a few pounds into the bargain.

I supposed there is no scientific evidence to support the merit of this program. Does that make it quackery? If you need confirmation from some agency, then yes.
