Both sources you list are just bad fantasy, so it's highly unlikely that any truth is in them. They "have to be" wrong, for amateurs always make bad errors.

'Always' is always a dangerous word to use.
Amateur Astronomers have made most of the major discoveries in their science.
Amateur Radio operators verified the Apollo Landings as well as performing many other functions since their founding.
Amateur Archaeologists began that science, and made most of the early strides in their chosen realm.
Amateur videographers documented the death of Gaddafi.
I don't see any logical reason why all intelligences must be humanoid in form, but I can see a possible explanation for them to be on many worlds. The galaxy is old enough for many civilizations to have risen up and discovered space flight independently. Even if they all started from a single world, by now, they may well have evolved in any number of ways. Early Mesopotamian records suggest that we were either planted or modified by a space-faring race around 5000 years ago.

No ETS have ever been here, so they couldn't do anything here. There are countless hoaxes about it, and you're just blindly believing one with this stuuf about them being in the Middle East 5000 years ago. Which hoaxer said that? I should've said "amateur writers of bad fantsy", for someone often tries to get technical. I thought anyone could understand what I meant, but I was wrong evidently.

'No ETs have ever been here'? So you have discovered a means of proving a negative? I would be interested to see your proof of that.
by LarryH54 on October 22nd, 2011
You made the wild claim, so you have the burden of proof to prove me wrong, and you can't, for there's no evidence that reputable scientists and logicians will accept that ETS ever visited Earth. I've read books about ETs, and I see lots of hoaxes and other rubbish in them that only make me laugh, but you want to believe such illogical stuff. "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof", so I base my opinion upon the evidence, and it shows ETS have never been here and aren't likely to ever be here.
by Garrett_B5610 on October 27th, 2011
Rubbish. Define 'extraordinary proof'. You can't because it is a meaningless phrase to a true scientist. Wild claims are a matter of perspective. There are a number of stone age forts in northern Scotland that show evidence of melted rock, a logical impossibility given the technology of the time. Excuse that if you can.

I can prove I'm a genius, and calling me a fool is libelous. Some people get carried away here. I AM NOT A FOOL! I reported this vile insult, and I can sue you if it remains publicly doisplayed. Listing websites athat have garbage proves nothing. It seems that one of my replies has been removed, but this scoundrel is allowed to cll me a fool is he? That's criminal!
