What is the best way to get videotape (VHS from a small tape - old camcorder tape) onto your computer? is it expensive?

    The video converter as mentioned is the software side, you still need the hardware. If your good with computers, all you do is get a AVI card and install it in your PC, then you can hook your camcorder or VCR directly to your PC and use the video converter software to convert the video campture file to whatever you choose. Keep in mind that video capture takes a lot of hard drive space. 4.3 Gb for 1 1/2 hour video.
