Does anyone know what the origin of CAPS being interpreted as yelling on the internet is based on?

    Hi Scooter-libee:

    I don't know the origin but the various sites I've visited, it was always pointed out on them as shouting when someone posted in caps.

      I heard that early on when I started out on the net. I was just wondering who came up with the ethical philosophy of it being considered yelling. Others have pointed out that it's to get attention, which I agree with. But somewhere out there is a person that must take credit or responsibility. Maybe I've over thought this today. +6
