True or false stainless steels are the most widely used of all corrosion-resistant alloys?

    Probably false. Anodized aluminum would likely be the most widely used. Hardware like screws, bolts, nuts, brackets and such are stainless but seems SS is used to mount aluminum where aluminum has the the strengh required.
