    FineBalance .

First read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand and lived with her ideology for yrs, then read "Bible". There was a great conflict, greated than I cud grasp. I had gone thru a complete dark period where both did not make sense. Ayn Rand said take your cheek away if they do not deserve it, let them earn it and Bible said give your second cheek also. Both were contradictory to each other.

Finally, I have found a middle ground.

Both are very fine and the best books I have ever read.

    • When I was a kid I thought Atlas Shrugged was so profound. I was as naive as she was back then. Did you ever get a chance to read her life? Nathaniel Branden's wife Barbara wrote about how she stole Nathanliel from her. My hero of long ago turned out to be a nerotic control freak.
