what else would it stand for? some of these questions remind me of the people i see picking apart the "devil horn" hand symbol. they find all this meaning in it that no one else was even aware of...and of course everybody has completley lost the real meaning behind it...its like they are desperatley looking for the bad in things so that they can latch onto it and condemn people.

Many people who either forgot what they learned in school or went to a bad school forget that Sir Gawain, in the medieval poem "Gawain and the Green Knight", Sir Gawain, a Christian knight whose faith in the Christian God was undoubted by all, had a pentagram as his crest (a five pointed star inside a circle) and this, at the time, was as firmly a Christian symbol as the Cross.
