Are all snakes legless?

    Snakes are, by definition, legless. If it has legs, it's not a snake. However, there are a few kinds of snakes that have rudimentary or vestigial legs. The significance of these is open to debate.

    • To complicate things further, in the UK we have the slow worm, which is a form of legless lizard, and which resembles a snake.
