    Anyone who has read much of the history of popular gaming knows that chess originated as a racist game. In fact, I've just finished reading a rather fascinating book that described how in the original version, the black side had two rows of pawns.

    I suppose that we should feel some comfort in knowing that the current revision has some semblance of fairness, even though it's still inherently divisive.


    (Of course, I could be making all this up.)
