has there been a British invasion there yet? They shot up their foxes there and they'd gladly shoot up your foxes too =(

And welcome too....I have always thought an Australian red fox fur coat would look good.
So can the line be drawn there?
by Empress of Everything Ever on October 13th, 2007
you said that foxes are "vermin" yet you wear them, you've got to at least respect their beauty then
by Xtreme2252 on October 13th, 2007
True they have beautiful fur....which is why I want to wear it.
The insides of other animals have their own kind of beauty and most look best staying on the insides of those particular animals.
Like my chooks, a friends cat...
They are legally vermin in this country, an introduced species and cause a lot of problems for farmers etc...

i know this is a bit off-topic, but this one time i was on carrercruising.com and i put that i love working with animals and it recommended farming. Little known fact that animal-lovers and farmers are two different things :S
by Xtreme2252 on October 13th, 2007
Yeah I've noticed...farmers are more practical about their relationsip with the environment and habitat. You noticed that? Animal Lovers seem to be a little too idealistic and not practical enough about animals. I think Disney has a to take a lot of the blame. For a lot of people Disney animals and domestic dogs and cats are all their experience. So they get a little odd in their expectations of 'animals'.

i love making the lives of animals better, not raising them to be butchered. You can't say you aren't the same with humans.

To the proud fur- wearers and supporters of fur: Just look at yourselves. Ignorance must truly be bliss. Have any of you got the slightest idea as to what these poor creatures go through? If any of you think that there is nothing wrong with wearing fur then you are out of your insensitive minds. Fur farms keep animals that lead dismal, torturous lives and then butcher them (often torturing the animal to an extreme degree; the animal is alive, squirming, screaming and does not die until approximately 5+ minutes after their skin is ripped off their bodies in most instances) so that you can have yet another choice of garment etc. add to the countless numbers already available and cruelty free. Why is it so hard to just say no to fur and animal cruelty? I do not understand how it can be deemed ok to wear fur or harm animals when we as a race boast to be civilised human beings. I've done countless english assignments on the topic of fur and animal cruelty and I can't even read the information witout crying at the horrendous injustice these living creatures (capable of feeling pain, just as we do) must endure. Oh, and Empress of Everything Ever, perhaps you're missing the point that Disney was trying to make clear to even young children. That animals are just like us, in that they feel pain, have character, and deserve a healthy happy life. The apathy and vanity of humans is enough to make you lose faith in the world...
