If introduced to the bathing proccess gently and patiently, there is no reason a bath should in any way traumatize a cat.

not all cats willl groom themselves. it will not tramatize them to have a bath.( I have 6 cats)

I'm a groomer, and some cats do need to be bathed and it is not traumatic.

Not all cats that don't groom have a physical problem, sometimes they don't have the instinct, so you need to help them out.

Just not true, my 6 catz get at least 1 bath each spring to remove the shedding hair.They feel wonderful afterwards!
