I've heard that you need at least a 3 foot mirror to see your whole body. Is this true, and why?

    This is not correct. A small, convex mirror could show you a head to toe view of yourself. (a convex mirror is bowl-shaped with the bend facing out, like the outside of an inverted mixing bowl. You sometimes see them attached to car or truck mirrors to give the driver a fuller view.)
