Why are people cutting down forests so much?

    havent you every heard of the slash - burn technique anyway ye they are using that technique everywhere and if i am right i heard on news 13 that they where making a 400 acres controlled burn for some reason i am really against that

    • Controlled burning removes the scrub plants and leaves the taller pines (which are above the flames) healthy. When people don't control burn, deadwood accumulates and lightening strikes cause fires that really get out of control and damage the trees, homes and lives.
