Is it possible after a break up , to get back together and for it to last a long time?

    WHITE BEAR

    It can but rarely. From experience the relationship never reaches the same depth of feeling or intimacy and so it eventually wanes.
    Usually when getting back together, the relationship goes through an on , off pattern until the final parting.
    Only when both acknowledge and work on the issues can a different outcome arise. If one wants to get back together but not fix the problem, it wont work.

    • Yeah. You're right. And the main thing too is that trust is not as good as before. You'll always be insecure.

    • Indeed. The insecurity is what kills the relationship. You need more from the relationship than what it can give.

    • well it depends on the reason why both of you broke up and if it's not infidelity then trust is not an issue

    • Yes, agree with CBF... We broke up this April; actually, we were in breaking up in 4 months; These 4 months washed over our 4 yr relationship. The trust is totally not as much/good as before. It's difficult to back to the past. Maybe we shouldn't think we would be able to stay in the past. We both just try to look forward and start from ground zero. It's really difficult. I am not sure if we will make it... I am trying and time will tell... All the bests to everybody and us.
