Do you honestly think that a woman's going to say "nope, I just let the hair grow so long I can braid it"? I've known feminists and hippies who don't shave legs or underarms. Some of these women let the whole world know. Part of me wants to say "you go girl!" and part of me wants to cringe.

I ALWAYS wear ankle-length skirts or long pants, so I rarely bother shaving my legs. (I dislike stubble and my partners either like it or don't mind. I have blonde/clear hair that's soft and only shows in direct sunlight.) I also rarely shave my nether-regions, but that's because ingrown hairs there are EVIL. (Trimming is essential... I'd go insane otherwise!) I have problems shaving my underarms because I cannot put antiperspirant on afterwards because my skin gets severely irritated. I'll either shave on a weekend and wash gently with soap/water until my skin's ok or I'll use a hair trimmer. The rash thing I would get from irritation is a lot ickier than hairs that you wouldn't notice unless your face was right under my raised arm and I were shirtless.

Honestly, I think that guys should shave their armpits, too. Do French women still have hairy pits? Also, why don't more women shave their arms?
