Is there a home remedy for a urinary tract infection?

    Honestly, I've always found that a 1L bottle of Coke worked wonders for UTIs. Not only does it keep your bladder full (which seems to make it less painful) but for some reason it really dulls the infection itself.
    Of course, I usually combine it with Pyridium (prescription UT analgesic), but even without, the Coke seems to work remarkably well.

    Say what you will about it not working, but a little bottle of cranberry juice and a litre of Coke got rid of the last one in 6 hours. I'm just speaking from experience.

    • Might relieve the symptom of pain, but Coke cannot cure an infection nor can infections be dulled

    • this is bad advice, sugar feeds infection and this is the last thing you should do when you have a urinary tract infection
