Since I live in Australia, I had a look at overstock.com and it seems like the same as we have like Crazy Clarks, The Warehouse and a few other stores including Rugs-A-Million or the liquidators. I get the feeling, that they want to make a big deal of nothing. Yes they are probably overstocked, by buying liquidated stock for next to nothing, placing a few bucks on it and hope it sells. They prob buy bulk lots of last years stock very cheaply and sell it a lot cheaper then it was a year ago. Most of these type of stores, buy bulk stuff oversea's, or company's that go broke. All I can say, if you want the item, go for it. However keep in mind, that it may be older stuff and most likely cheaper versions of the newer stuff. Many of our retailers, advertise, we have to move $5 million dollars of stock in the next month, so we slash prices, etc. That's crap, they do not have $5 million bucks of stock in their possession. They just want you to think the word SALE just to get you in. The store may hold a TV maker in a possition, that if they can sell 'x' amount of that brand and type of tv, that maker will honor however many they sell for that price during that sale time. Sales are not meant to help people like you and me, they are to help the stores and makers to cash in. Be like me, if I do not need whatever, don't get it, just because you may save a few bucks because it is on sale, you save nothing, if you spend. If you really need something, then shop around for the best price. Hope this helps ya.
