It is not possible to become "addicted" to Benadryl but is possible to become dependent, they are two different things. The real problem is that it contain Tylenol, which can harm your liver over time. I would try just the Benadryl without Tylenol and that is harmless. If all else fails, see your doc maybe he could order something mild and wean you off sleep med all together. Good Luck.
