Why did Zeus seek to destroy the Titans?

    Because Cronos, his father, had swallowed up all of Zeus's siblings. The reason he did this was because a seer had told Cronos that one of his children would claim his throne. Cronos was greedy and rude, and so Zeus and his siblings and Cronos and his siblings had a huge fight. Eventually the Titans were banished to the fiery underground pit, Tartarus.
