Pheromones were discovered by the ancient Egyptians. Whenever the pharaoh fathered a child he showered it with gifts and wealth, insuring a life of luxury for the child and its mother. Hopeful women would linger near the roadside, and beckon and moan whenever the pharaoh passed by in his chariot.
We don't have pharaohs in these days of modern times, here in America. But California women still gather outside popular Hollywood nightspots and moan whenever a celebrity emerges.
OTOH, it's quite possible that I just made this all up. Either way, good-natured women are encouraged to moan whenever the spirit moves them. It's not healthy to keep those passions bottled up, hoping a pharaoh or celebrity might pass by.
