My mom thinks I'm weird because I have a different style than she wants me to have. She makes me dress like a preppy rich girl. What to do? I'm 15, and sick of conforming!

Your problem is so common, it's cliche. Isn't it ironic that by not wanting to "conform" you've succeeded in conforming (to a T) into the typical mother/teenager relationship.

I would say just try not to let it ruin your relationship with her. Try not to make too much Drama over it. She's probably just sad because she thinks your style is going to hold you back, but she'll just have to get over it, right? & she will. She'll remind herself that you could be on drugs ... or pregnant ... or in an abusive relationship ... & she'll feel better.

So, go ahead, be yourself & don't sweat it too much.
    GOOD LUCK!! :)
