    No.

That doesn't mean I believe in the opposite, either (no reincarnation). It's more that I "don't believe in belief". What that means is that I don't see any reason to adopt viewpoints about things for which I have no experience or evidence.

We humans love to eliminate uncertainty and doubt from our lives, that makes us feel like we're in control. When there's doubt, it's like a hole in our understanding of reality, so we "fill it up" with beliefs.

But really, we'd be better off just leaving the hole there and continuing to observe, experiment, and inquire into the matter. Once we fill up the hole with belief, we haven't really eliminated the doubt, we've just given ourselves something to argue about -- because other people will fill the hole with a different belief.

To me, this isn't a very good use of the mind.

    • The other problem with filling ignorance with belief is that you are less likely to want to find the real answers you should be seeking, so will continue to be ignorant. I'll let you know if I believe in reincarnation during my next life - if I have one.

    • @Ullyses: nicely put. :D so have you found the answers you're seeking so far with regards to life after death aside from re-incarnation?
