    The average length of time from giving birth to being in heat again for cats is 1 to 2 weeks after weaning.
    If they are mating, while pregnant...then perhaps it's not by choice...
    Animals, unlike humans only mate out of instinct. When they are in heat, they mate...They do not choose to do it, unless they are in heat.
