Sorry to break it to you but that's not sarcasm, that's her trying to make it sound as if you aren't driving her up the wall. You should be happy she's telling you flat out instead of being passive aggressive and talking bad about you behind your back. Instead of being mad, maybe you should just stop doing whatever it is that bothers her.
THIS is sarcasm: "Noo, I don't hate it when you chew with your mouth open. Noo, it doesn't bother me at ALL." (when you know that it DOES bother them). THAT is sarcasm. What she is doing is saying things flat out.
Also, maybe saying/typing WHOLE words might cut down on your mis-communications. This isn't a text message. "wut" and "2 b" are NOT words!!

    • i didn't really mean sarcasm... and the reason i was writing like that is because i was running out of room. i guess you'd just have to know her to really understand.i am being too particular about it and i guess it's just her way of saying things in a nice way.

    • I think that your attempt to educate this obviously ignorant person though noble, is wasted effort. She lacks basic understanding of concepts and is so lazy that she can't even formulate a paragrapgh or sequence of thoughts in a mature coherent manner. Sadly there are too many people with this level of education and self esteem. A mature person would communicate to others in the proper formats and context. Thanks to texting we have developed an underclass of illiterate people. If America keeps producing these types of citizens then we are doomed at some point to become a 3rd world country.

    • Good grief, paulyrulo- how unbelievably unkind and judgemental. This girl is here seeking help, clearly feeling vulnerable and upset, yet all you can do is criticise her writing. She may be very young for all you know- we all had to learn what sarcasm meant at some point. As for the text speak, she already explained that she was running out of room. We've all had difficult times with friendships; the poor kid just needed a few kind words.

You're not so enlightened yourself, sweetheart- 'Third World' is an outmoded expression, as there no longer exists a Second World. The more educated of us say 'Developing Country', which the USA is clearly far from becoming.

Perhaps if people like you spent less time criticising others, instead concentrating your energy in a more positive way, America would be a nicer place. I came there last year and found it to be a very intolerant environment.
