Chemical castration has been proven ineffective. I am certain that physical castration would meet the same result.
They are going to use whatever they have, be it their own genitalia or not.
The only way to deal with a pedophile is lock them up.
It has also been shown that pedophiles usually repeat offend. Hence, rehabilitation is usually not effective.
