What are methods of saving money when you don't have enough to pay bills?

    Well, I have envelopes. When I was saving for a dog, I had an envelope marked "dog vet fees" and I would put all my spare change and money into that untill I had a fat envelope. I found this method worked so I continued doing it with my bills ;)

    • I use this "hands-on" savings technique myself when I figure I'll need a new appliance soon - right now I'm almost ready to buy a nice new stove. :)
