Our 4 yr old cat is constantly chewing on plastic, like plastic grocery bags. Why does he do this and is it harmful?

    There may be some kind of odor to those plastic bags that attracts cats because it is getting very common to see this behavior in cats. And the texture may feel good on their tongue. But you shouldn't allow it as plastic isn't good for cats and could be harmful going in and 'coming out'. SOme mice have gotten cancer from eating certain types of plastic so I wouldn't allow my kitty to chew on it just in case.
