Anyone swim nude in school or at the YMCA?

    With all the recent and tragic sexual abuse news at universities and within sports programs, I was led to remember my youth in the early 1960s (3-5 years old) and learning to swim at the Boys Club in Boston. Memory of 100s of my childhood peers swimming in the nude, is now a very odd one...when asked why we were in the nude as children, particularly around older men or teenagers. I don't recall the ages of the swim instructors, but they obviously were not children. Was this a written policy/regulation of the Boys Club (and/or Girls Club)? If so, why? What was the purpose? A more skeptical and concerning question: Was that an environment for abuse? Strange childhood memory...strange times!
