You're reading What color socks should I wear with khaki pants, white shirt, and light brown shoes and belt?

IMO, no. Especially not with black trousers. They should match so it's not so striking and it makes the legs look longer and leaner. If you wear a different color sock, it makes it look cut off, and chunky. When you wear a sock that matches the trouser, the color doesn't end and it flows into the shoe elongating the leg, thus looking longer and leaner. :P (I watch alot of What Not To Wear)

I watch that too but IMO white's are still universal. I say, when in doubt. Go white!

I believe it's David Letterman that wears white socks with everything, however I go with sox to match the shoes.
