Socks should match the color of the trousers as best as possible. Go with a khaki color sock.

    • However, white socks are universal :D

    • IMO, no. Especially not with black trousers. They should match so it's not so striking and it makes the legs look longer and leaner. If you wear a different color sock, it makes it look cut off, and chunky. When you wear a sock that matches the trouser, the color doesn't end and it flows into the shoe elongating the leg, thus looking longer and leaner. :P (I watch alot of What Not To Wear)

    • I watch that too but IMO white's are still universal. I say, when in doubt. Go white!

    • I believe it's David Letterman that wears white socks with everything, however I go with sox to match the shoes.
