When playing chess do you tend to avoid exchanging queens so as to keep the game more complex?

    It depends. If the rest of my pieces are quite active, then an exchange of queens improves my position. I will also exchange queens with players like MrWitch, who admit they are not as strong with the minor pieces as when they have their queen. I consider myself quite good with the minor pieces and rooks.
