    Sure. It certainly wouldn't be worse. With thousands of people looking over the code in earnest trying to improve it, it would get faster, system requirements would decrease, and stability would be rock-solid.

    Of course, the day that Bill Gates open-sources Windows, monkeys will fly out of my butt...

    (So... back to Linux...
