it's not a perfect world, you have to have some social skills and a chill pill sometimes, unless you want to turn the whole female-male relationship into a sorry combat. You have enough practice growing up as a girl surrounded and bombarded by media and peer pressure to look good etc in a world obsessed by visual and 'bling' and revolving as it always has done on attraction, power and youth.

I think we all should be grateful that thanks to the efforts of others in previous generations we can even walk in freedom down the streets on Britain on a sunny day in our skimpy outfits and the worst that happens is that some bloke 'wolf whistles' at us.. it's hardly WW2 is it? Men do this because.. men do this...it's a harmless ritual, I don't think they ever think ur gonna turn on your heels and come onto them. Making it into social combat or re-labelling it 'street harrassment' seems to me to be a very unwise trend. Personally I'd rather be whistled at for a few seconds than be shot at or bombed in a war zone, starved in a desert, or sold off for a few goats as is young women's lot in many places on this planet.
