    inconsequential

    - "Winterlude" Festival, and skating on the 11km Rideau Canal
    - Beautiful tulip gardens - three million tulips to be exact (a gift each year from the Queen of Holland, originally bestowed when Queen Juliana of the Netherlands stayed here during World War II).
    - The Tulip Festival (woo hoo!)
    - The Royal Swans (another gift to the City)
    - The Senators (the hockey team, not the politicians)

...And absolutely, positively nothing bad or negative, and NOT just because it also happens to be the seat of the Canadian Federal Government. That's coincidental.

(Note: The preceding message was not paid for by The City of Ottawa, the Government of Ontario, or anyone else with a vested interest in attracting foreign trade and tourism. Honest.)

    • Do they count the tulips everyday to make sure none of them have died?
