What is the origin of "cali" in the word "caligynephobia"?

    well, since the roots 'gyn' and 'phobia' are greek, i would assume that 'cali' is also greek and from my deductive reasoning, caligraphy, i belive, is 'beautiful writing' when literally translated [cali- beautiful graph-write]so, to me, the root 'cali' means beautiful. hope that helps. caligynephobia must mean fear of beautiful women.
