Help answer this question below.

Any marines on here ages 19 to 29 that are not ass holes? i have a huge fear and dislike for marines i would like to get over that

    I am married to a man who was in 0311 for eight years. He is an asshole, but I love him. He was an asshole when we met, and I still decided to give it a shot. Now we've been together for almost five years. We met about a year and a half after he was discharged, and some of his asshole qualities have improved since then. I know a lot of it has to do with PTSD, but I know he had asshole tendancies before he ever even went. He was a snuff dippin', bull ridin', beer drinkin', redneck asshole. He's the only person who has ever made me feel safe, and he's very intelligent, so I try to get passed the asshole issue as best I can. We recently became practicing Christians (about a year ago), and that has helped tremendously. He is actually more patient with our two-year-old son than I am, and we have another baby on the way. Being married to a Marine is a difficult path to take, and I'm fairly convinced that it wuold be this way with a lot of different Marines. Maybe not all of them, but definitely a large majority. There are worse assholes in the Marines than the one I have too. I just pray for things to get better. I'm not afraid of him. He's never hit me or our son, he just doesn't add much sugar to his pronouncements (if you know what I mean). It's hurtful sometimes because I'm a sensitive person, but I believe he's trying to work on that. You can't change a lifetime of hardcore and eight years in the Marines over night.
