Help answer this question below.
I have been going to visit a foster child for the last 4-5 months and my husband and I have known for awhile we want to adopt her. We have even told the foster parent. We have been trying to gather any information in regards to what steps to take but have not had any resources. Today I found out that sometime last week she became available for adoption and that she is already being placed with a family that is going to adopt her. We love her so much and already have a relationship with her. Is there anything we can do to keep this from happening. The family that is going to adopt her doesn't know her and they could adopt anyone. We want HER. We love HER. We don't just want any child. I have been trying to get information from the foster parent for months now but she hasn't told me anything or given me any help in getting the process going. Now I am terrified that it is too late. She did let slip today the name of the agency. I tried calling but they were already closed so I have to wait until Monday now before I can even get in touch with them. I think she will still be in the foster home for nearly a week. Please! anyone! please tell me anything you may know that might help me stop her being adopted by someone else so we can adopt this little girl we love. Thank you. any help would be very appreciated.
