Help answer this question below.

If you had to carry a self-defence weapon , what would be your choice?

    Myself.

    Any weapon can be taken away by a perpetrator and often used on the victim. My training cannot be taken away.

    If you are going to carry a weapon, you had better be good enough with it that your attacker cannot take it away and use it on you.

    • Good points! I have to ask though, what do you do when your attacker has a weapon and decides to use it?
      Granted, most neanderthal attackers are not well practiced with their tool of choice.

    • I am here to tell you I use a weapon, a Glock 37, and to date not one person has been that quick or fast enough to try and take it away!

    • Good for you, Eileen. I hope you never have to use it.

      However, not everyone is that good with a weapon and that is why I recommend against carrying weapons unless you are very, very good with it.

      Steve, I had not seen your comment, if you are still on the bag.

      I have had two people pull a knife on me, one tried to use it. I removed it from him when he tried this. I had one try with a ballbat... same result. If you are still on the 'bag, I shall tell you how.

      I have been shot at during gangland drivebyes (they do not only shoot at gang members) and all I can do is drop.

      I can only disarm someone with a gun if they are within my range or if I can get them in my range.

    • Arisztid my aim is spot on! And yes unfortunately I have used it on many occasions.....but the best defense is my trusty K-9 Sadie............:O)

    • I learn use revolver well. My lover help write books of guns, he is quit skillful. No one can take my revolver and use it at me. I think this not occur often, anti-gun fanatics use fake statistics. Not many people want try take away anyone's gun.

    • Same here, spent days disarming people with knives and guns (training weapons of course). Seven years of ninjitsu payed off well, havn't had to use very much of it but I know I can be very very cruel.
