Heh, I would think not.
I forgot... I have a bit of Vlax Rromani ancestry. The Vlax were forcibly settled in Romania as slaves for 500 years.

Wasup Arisztid?! Long time no see. Oh wow, I know a little bit about the history of your ancestors but I didn't know they were slaves for that long. I find the history of your people very fascinating; and I would say even somewhat mystical. Don't ask me why.

Eh, not much my friend. I am still kicking around. What are you up to these days?
Yep re slaves and have been enslaved during various other times in history.
I think a lot of people think we are mystical because we are unknown.

Oh I've been busy doing some writing and my oldest girl just graduated from high school. I was busy trying to find the "right" college for her to attend and everything else associated with that, and so now I only drop by AB every now and then. But on the subject about the history of your people, yes, I think you're right. Not knowing or knowing very little about something or someone can create certain amount of mystical attraction. But one thing I know with absolute certainty--and something your people and my people have very much in common--is all of the misconception and stereotypes other outsiders have formed about us. And rarely few people care to find out for themselves if they are true or not.

Bloody true on the very much in common thing... and that few care to learn.
Sounds like life is poking along nicely for you. Glad to hear it. :)
