This is one of the biggest problems facing gardeners as crops are often robbed by humans and animals alike. Here are some great tips for a stealth outdoor grow.

    • Deer:

To keep deer away from your crop some suggest using human hair clippings. Sprinkle a bunch around the perimeter of your garden and deer will smell it and not bother with your herb.

If you don't cut hair at home ask your barber for some floor sweepings to protect your vegetables.

Animal urine(garden supply store) can also be used as mentioned in GirlPie's answer. Some other suggestions would be fox, wolf or coyote. - follow directions

    • Rabbits, coons & other rodents:

Many rodents also fear the same predators as deer so the urine will already help here. To keep rabbits out you can save bacon grease from your breakfast and spread that around the perimeter of your grow area.

Rabbits avoid the smell of of vinegar so use corn cobs soaked in vinegar placed around your garden to keep rabbits out. These cobs can be re-soaked in the vinegar as needed.

Other suggestions are crushed red pepper or hot spices sprinkled around the plants. Mothballs could work for some animals but may draw attention.

¤ Some of these methods will need to be repeated every so often and after rainfall.

    • For other animals and insects:

    • I have some 40 or 60 feet netting I had bought to keep the deer out of my corn. I spread it over all my small blueberry bushes and over my weed too. The animals don't like to get their feet caught in it and don't come near.
