Your original statement was "Even today the nation of Israel exists out of religious claim."
This is false.
As I said, the nation state of Israel exists because of the British Mandate of Palestine.
Stop and think- If there was NO British mandate, JUST the devout belief of the Jewish people, would Israel exist? NO!
The Palestinians would not simply say, "Oh, I'm sorry- I did not know you had a religious claim! I guess I'll pack my bags and go now!"
Nope.
Israel's leading ultra-Orthodox party, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef say all Palestinians should perish. How will this impact peace talks?
