Help answer this question below.

I wonder sometimes whether the torah or the original bible was written with 'Thine, Thou, and all the antique pronouns?' hmm!

    OMG OMG!!!

    I love you for asking this question!!!!!!

    I am not a religious guy; hate organized religion........BUT I did join a bible study a few years ago.........I always ranted and raved about the TRANSLATIONS there are of the bible; King James, etc....

    I bought an interlinear new testament and always had it with me...that just means it has the original Greek right below the actual translation, word for word of what that passage said.....kind of clunky to read, but it's the best way to see what the bible is all about!!!

    . Anyway, each week we'd be asked to read something from the bible........the others got a huge kick out of my insisting that, as you say, no one said 'thee, thou' etc.......

    So when it came my turnto read, they'd say, 'now let's hear your version of the bible'.......good naturedly, of course......BUT I still told them it was not 'my' bibie but PROBABLY THE CLOSEST THING TO THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGE THEY'D EVER HEAR..........

    I asked why, if they believe it's God's word, would you want to read the KJV, (all those 'thees and thous)........they said it was probably because mom and dad read it and it was their favorite, so now they read it.....

    I told them to start thinking for themselves.......

    anyway, I left the group after a few months....they were nice people, and I learned a lot, but that translation thing just got to me!!!!!!!!!

    sorry to ramble on so long....again, thanks for the question!!!!!!!!
