I often can't see things right in front of my eyes, even if I know they are there, until someone points them out to me. Then I see them perfectly. What's wrong?

    you've got a visual agnosia, a scotoma of sorts that can be helped when you're assisted by procession through the ventral stream of your cortex. That means you have a blind spot but when its pointed out, like describing what you feel in the dark it helps recognition.
