Rollie is correct and what Symbeline describes does happen, I have cervical dystonia which affects other areas too. The twisting is generally not spastic (like to where you see shaking that is actually dyskinesia), but several dystonia patients get it too. Your body repetitively twists, some people's are more obvious than others. The easiest way I have found to explain it to others is to say flex your bicep, you will notice your tricep muscle lengthens while your bicep shortens, for dystonia patients the tricep would tighten too against the bicep and curl into it(along with all the other muscles involuntarily contracting). Usually It feels like your being pulled at a 360 degree angle in every direction at once. It is the third most common neurological movement disorder with ms being 1 and parkinsons being 2.
