Why do drivers of 18 wheeler trucks keep the engines going all the time, even at freeway rest stops when they (the drivers) seem to be sleeping? Are the trucks really hard to start?

    Some of the reason depending on where you are but in winter months, it keeps the fuel warm <return fuel> so it does not gel up, miles from home.
