What is Ubuntu software and what is its future?

    Ubuntu is the name of a distribution (a "version") of Linux. Linux is a popular open-source (which means that it's free, and you can look at and modify its code) operating system - it can be used instead of or in adition to other operating systems like Microsoft Windows.

    Ubuntu has made a name for itself as the most user-friendly distribution of Linux. It comes with an easy-to-use installer for application, looks nice and is friendly to install.
