    Apparently you offended "Californians" don't really have a firm grasp on what a flake actually is. It's got nothing to do with mental health or intelligence, it's got to do with inconsistency as a person. Promising/saying one thing and backing out at the last minute. Never following through with what you've promised someone you would do.

    I've lived in California for over a decade and I can attest to the existence of the California flake. Unlike the unicorn these creatures do exist, and maybe it is something in our "laid back" culture that breeds this particular type of person. There have been songs written about this. Shit, I found this site in a google search for "Californians are flakes"! California is a flake incubator. End of story.
