If you have acne problems or any problems with red, inflamed skin, the Aspirin face mask is heavensent. Just get half a dozen uncoated (or lightly coated if that's not available) Aspirin, add enough water to dissolve them, crush them up a little, rub onto your face (rubbing on in a circular motion exfoliates), leave on for 10-15 minutes, and then wash off. (Warning: do this over a sink to prevent a thousant tiny bits of bright white Aspirin on your carpet).

You can add lots of things to this mask. I personally often add honey to keep those little bits of Aspirin sticking to my face (it looks awkward and can be crumbly), but I have also used milk to dissolve the Aspirin (the enzymes in milk are said to be good for skin) and, in case of bad acne, a drop of tea tree oil in the mixture. There are a dozen ways to do this mask, but it's super-effective.
