Does anyone els have trouble sleeping unless you take sleeping pills?

I have trouble sleeping all of the time because I have insomnia, I do not take sleeping pills though, because you can get addicted to them, I would rather live without being able to sleep a lot, then end up getting addicted to sleeping meds, also when you take sleeping pills and you have insomnia they just knock you out and do not give you restful sleep.
